Seniors are an active part of life at Trinity and there are many opportunities to both grow and serve at Trinity.

Riverview Adult Day Care (RADC) was started by Trinity over 20 years ago as a non-denominational ministry to serve the need for care of older adults from the community need of structured socialization, health monitoring, or who can’t be left alone and yet do not yet need to need a full-time nursing care. RADC is supported by community as well the Trinity family through the donation of building space, financial assistance, and countless volunteer hours. Learn more at www.riverviewadultdaycenter.org

Widows & Widowers Group
Whether you have experienced a recent loss or if it has been years ago, all widows and widowers are invited to join us for our monthly gatherings as we enjoy special presentations on topics relevant to our stage of life and support each other. Contact Jean Lucas at 875-5785 or [email me] for more info.

Support Group for Caregivers of People with Alzheimer’s Disease or Dementia
Alzheimer’s & Dementia Services of Northern Indiana sponsors a support group for those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. This group meets at Trinity UMC on the 4th Thursday of the month from 2-3:30pm. Contact  RADC, at 293-6886 for more info.

Seekers Sunday School
Join other older adults at 10:30am on Sundays in E101 for a great opportunity for continuing to grow in fellowship and faith.

4PM Study Group
Join other older adults at 4pm on Wednesdays before the start of TNT to grow through watching and discussing the popular Faith Lessons videos that help to shed light on passages of scripture by also exploring the cultural and historical setting.  Meets during TNT calendar Sept - May - Welcome Center Cafe'

United Methodist Women
All women of all ages can be a part of the ministry of the United Methodist Women. Visit the Small Group web-page for more information.

Pastor of Visitation
Steve & Sue Price, our new Pastors of Visitation and schedules times to visit those who are homebound or in assisted living facilities. He can be contacted at 294-7602 ext 125 or [email me] 

Circle of Friends
Volunteers from Trinity form a “circle of friends” who stay in touch with and visit those who are homebound.

SERVE
Many older adults still are active in serving in the church and/or community. For instance many tutor in the schools through the CARES program started by Trinity members. For more info on serving at Trinity contact Amy Matherly at 262-4773 or [email me] or attend the next SERVE workshop.

Bookstore & Library
Trinity’s bookstore and library have various resources that may be of interest to older adults, and the bookstore can order books or other items such as large-print Bibles. Order books for your personal reading or as gifts. The Upper Room devotionals are also available.
