"Imagine the power that would be unleashed if everyone offered to serve in an appropriate volunteer role. Imagine how the members of your church would grow if they were actively, intentionally serving God and growing in their faith. Imagine how your church would grow if you had the reputation of being the place where people don't just talk about their faith, but work together to make things happen in your community. Excellent programs . . . may help your church grow in attendance, but they won't help your church members grow deep in their faith or be satisfied with their spiritual growth. That takes involvement in ministry.
